Dark Walls all the way

Of late I have a become a bit obsessed with dark walls. Maybe it is a reaction against all the white currently so prominent in houses, magazines and blogs, including my own. Part of me dreams painting my entire house (walls, ceilings, doors and trim) in a dark rich grey, but I confess that I am a little gun shy. So I’ve decided to start this weekend with the bathroom! It’s going from crisp clean white to Porter’s Paint Toy Solider. My test strip is looking better everyday.

The origin of my obsession is the Goddess of the Dark Walls herself, Abigail Ahern.Here are some examples demonstrating the reason for my madness. Dark walls look especially amazing with natural wood and bright colours.
